Dark chocolate is proven in studies to help heart disease. It has ingredients that are anti-inflammatory. Inflammation is what propels heart disease and oxidative damage. Heart risk factors center around inflammation and it is reduced by the flavonoids, minerals and epicatechins found in chocolate.

Estrogen levels are associated with good calcium metabolism. Heart disease, hypertension and osteoporosis are affected by soft tissue placement of calcium. Heart attacks increase with too much calcium.

Estrogens Reduce Heart & Vascular Diseases

A recent article, reported in the New England Journal of Medicine, examined a study on 1,069 women from age 50 to 59.  The relationship measured artery calcium and estrogen levels.
